Kobe

There's a strong theme of naked women in public sculptures throughout Japan, but usually they're not riding a dolphin.  Public art in Australia is so edgy but comparison 8^P

I walked past this one again at night, so got a different angle for perspective.

Confronting public art aside, Kobe is much more relaxed than Osaka.  A subtle thing is that when they rebuilt after the earthquake, they put a lot of the wiring underground.  In a lot of other places there is an absolute mess of overhead wiring, which makes the place feel even more complicated than it already would.

This is some kind of experimental boat (or model of it, I'm not sure) that uses a superconducting electromagnet to thrust water through its jet, avoiding the need for a propeller and thus remaining completely sealed.  I have no idea what the energy efficiency would be.

This is a model of a cargo ship that goes really fast.
