Hiroshima

There's probably nothing new in these photos for anyone who has visited Hiroshima.

This building is one of the few that had any parts of it standing up after the nuclear blast.

This is a model of the city and where the bomb exploded.  Pretty much everything in the area represented by the model was destroyed.

Walking around the area and getting a feel for the scale of the event is quite terrifying.

This is the rebuilt Hiroshima-jō. There were some interesting suits of armour inside, but a guard was quite unhappy about me using my camera in there.
